Leeds Medics and Dentists FC

The Leeds Medics & Dentists Football Club (LMDAFC), who have been established for 48 years, are recruiting for talented new players this season. Our student team are part of the University’s Intramural Football (IMF) Wednesday Social Sport league and finished as runners up last season.

We also run three Saturday open-age teams in the FA-affiliated Yorkshire Amateur League. The standard of these leagues is very high and we welcome all our student players to be involved with these teams too.

Our student team also take part in the prestigious National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) football tournament in April, playing against other medical school from all over the country. This year we battled through to the semi-finals of the cup competition and, for the coming season, we will also be participating in the Regional NAMS tournament beginning in October.

Fitness training takes place on Tuesday evenings and coached football training is on Thursday evenings at Bodington Football Hub. The social side of the Club is very good too, with events throughout the year and the teams meeting up after our games on Saturdays. We really pride ourselves on our inclusivity- the Club is a terrific way of meeting new friends, getting fit and maintaining a good work/life balance whilst having fun.

If interested, please come to find us at the Freshers’ Fair, like our Facebook page (Leeds Medics and Dentists FC) and follow our Instagram (@lmdafc) and Twitter (@leedsmedicsfc). Our Student Captains, Kiran and Ewan, will soon be in touch with the Freshers’ Facebook group with details of how to get involved. See you soon!
