Dean’s Meeting

-          Aware of the issue with the intercalated examinations where students had to submit handwritten examinations – chasing up

-          Have raised awareness of the Eldon Court issue – all 300 students have now been offered temporary accommodation

-          If anyone is in need of a loan of a laptop or books please contact Laura Smith or the SST team

-          Has been a request to act professionally about the St. James’ incident – it is an ongoing, sensitive investigation and if any staff give you any in-house information please don’t pass it on or discuss this in areas where patients could hear

MUMS

-          Thank you to all those who attended the cinema social

-          Also thanks to those who filled out the survey – we have discussed the results with Richard Bishop and will use it to make MUMs better in the future

General & AOB

-          Year 1

o   raising issues about accessibility in some assessments

-          Year 2

o   meeting with RESS team to discuss issues regarding abstract results and lectures not meeting learning objectives

-          Year 3

o   if you’re still having an issue with tutors, please contact Laura Smith

o   in-university days count for GP placement attendance

o   querying the RESS OSCE station

o   in process of developing a Year 4 info pack on ESREP, elective, NHS bursary etc.
