Peer-Assisted Learning Scheme (PALS1)

PALS (Peer-Assisted Learning Scheme) is the peer-led medical education framework providing teaching, leading and learning opportunities for Leeds MBChB students. Year 5 students teach Year 4 students, Year 4/intercalators students teach Year 3 students, Year 3 students teach Year 2 students and of course Year 2 students teach Year 1 students.

We work very closely with Leeds Medical School and the clinical skills team based at St James’ who have all been very supportive of PALS. Medical Education and teaching is such massive part of being a doctor and building experience on a portfolio goes a long way.

We run twice-weekly to fortnightly sessions for students in MBChB Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 matching the Leeds MBChB curriculum. Students can get involved as teachers, leaders or learners. So sign up to receiving our weekly timetable of revision events designed specifically for you here

The PALS1 Co-leads for this year are Aanam Munawwar, Sienna Sekhon, Gurleen Bansal and Harry Daisley! See you at the PALS Intro to Year 1 session!
