BMA & FSUG Talk

  • Parkinson Building SR B.09 Leeds, England, LS2 9JT United Kingdom (map)

Yasmin Kader, Lead of BMA's 'Charter to Tackle Racial Harassment & Discrimination', will be delivering a talk on how to raise concerns of racial harassment and discrimination experienced on placement or in the university.

Farhana Mulla, one of the Freedom to Speak Up Guardians (FSUG), will also be there to cater to students who have any issues concerning harassment or maltreatment not necessarily specific to racism.

This will be a safe space for students to raise any issues they are facing on placement or within the medical school, suggest ideas on how to improve EDI in the school of medicine, and learn how to be an ally for their fellow students. This is open to all students, whether BAME or not, and we encourage everyone to come so that positive changes can be made within the faculty.
