Medical Undergraduate Mentoring Scheme (MUMS)
Congratulations on getting into Medical School!
Starting University can be a daunting experience (more so after a global pandemic), so we at MSRC are here to help and support you as much as possible through your first year.
MUMS (Medical Undergraduate Mentoring Scheme) is a scheme that has been going on for several years now at Leeds. It is a program made by medical students, for medical students, and aims to provide all of you in First Year with extra assistance in adjusting to lectures, exams, social expectations, and general life as a medical student.
The way MUMS works is by giving you your own medic family consisting of a few fresher ‘siblings’, as well as second year ‘parents’.
